Explain cultural history
Original Text
As the name of the facility suggests, it is a facility that introduces the culture of Tachikawa City from ancient times to the present. The old weaving culture was very interesting.
I stopped by while taking a walk in this direction. I didn't expect much, but why did I feel that it was compact and well organized. It presents the history of Tachikawa from the Jomon period to the early modern times. Free admission is very good.
Starting with pieces of earthenware, Tachikawa's weaving, sericulture, fishing, etc. are introduced along with an exhibition of tools used at that time. More things are exhibited in the exhibition room, which is not very large, and you can experience the history of Tachikawa.
I'm interested in old buildings and history, and I like to go to historical and folk museums in various places, so when I went to Tachikawa, I also went to this Tachikawa historical and folk museum. It was good that the admission fee was free. The building itself was not very big, but there were old warehouses behind it.
