Wandered upon the citadel by accident, and either everything was closed or everything was never open. Seemed very little to actually SEE inside other than the inner courtyards and walls. Some rooms ...
Beautiful day in Bastia
I spent a beautiful day exploring and getting lost in Bastia. So many lovely corners to bump into, I would highly recommend to go without a plan in mind and just spend the day walking around
Don’t climb - get the mini train
Typical walled citadel with the cathedral within. Well worth a look if you like churches - the people appear the regard their religion highly.

Recommended for a visit, we were sad to find it shut! It's quite a climb up a wonderful staircase, if you approach from the lower level along from the port.
Worth the climb
What else would you expect from a bastion in Bastia? Some nice features, like the sundial and drawbridge. Good views
