Badaling Great Wall

Badaling (Chinese: 八达岭; pinyin: Bādálǐng) is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 80 kilometers (50 mi) northwest of Beijing's city center, in Badaling Town, Yanqing District, Beijing municipality. The portion of the wall running through the site was built in 1504 during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance. The highest point of Badaling is Beibalou (北八樓), approximately 1,015 meters (3,330 ft)

Badaling is probably the most convenient part of the Great Wall of China to visit as it took only 20 minutes by high speed train. Alternatively, you may take local (I believe it was no. 704) which would take around 45 minutes to 1 hour (depending on the traffic). While the view was stunning, do expect crowd, both Chinese and foreigners. It would still be the most recommended one to reach for the Great Wall.

Today, Wang Qin tour guide took us to the Great Wall, Summer Palace, and Yuanmingyuan. During the trip, Wang Guide gave a serious speech and cared about the safety of the whole group, especially the physical attention and care of the old comrades.
