Huang Temple Ancestral House

The main hall of the City God Temple is a key cultural relic under protection in Beijing. In mythology, the City God Temple is a city god temple dedicated to the capital city. Founded in the fourth year of Yuan to Yuan (1267), it is named You Sheng Wang Lingying Temple. It was rebuilt during the Yongle period of Ming Dynasty and renamed Dawei Ling Temple. It has been rebuilt many times since then. The temple faces south. There are three gates on the central axis (the Shunde gate of the temple gate), the other two are the Dawei Ling Temple of the Bell and Drum Tower, the two temples of the sleeping temple, and the Jingting and Liao Furnace Stele Pavilion. There are 5 existing dormitories, with a construction area of about 420 square meters. Inside the temple are the stele of Ming Yingzong and the stele of Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty. There are inscriptions of Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Yongzheng. The City God Temple City was once one of the famous temple fairs in Beijing.
