Matteo Ricci's tomb is located in the center of the broad green courtyard of the Party School of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee outside Fuchengmen. There is a small cemetery surrounded by a brick wall. There are two gray iron flower lattices in the South wall. Several green cypress trees are planted in the cemetery. This is not open to the outside world.

This is actually a group of tombs hidden in the bushes. There are more than 60 tombstones of missionaries in Ming and Qing Dynasties, including Matteo Ricci, Tang Ruowang, Nan Huairen, and Lang Shining, and Matteo Ricci’s tomb is the largest among them. . After Matteo Ricci died in 1610, Emperor Shenzong of the Ming Dynasty was "buried with his companions to the right of Jiaxing Temple in Erligou outside Fuchengmen". In front of his tomb is a white marble tombstone inscribed with the characters "The Tomb of the Jesuit Li Gong". The cemetery is surrounded by low walls, and there is a stone archway gate in front of it. The door hairpin, the one-word shadow wall at the door and the carvings are still clearly visible. The gray-white tomb is a typical combination of Chinese and Western styles, surrounded by a circle of olive branches and roses, while the top is a Chinese dragon, and behind the tomb is a square stone coffin. There are two lower tombstones on both sides of Matteo Ricci's tomb, the tomb of Tang Ruowang on the left and the tomb of Nan Huairen on the right.
