What travelers say:

The old house of the Ştefan and Ecaterina Panaitescu family was built around 1880. Here he was born (on October 21, 1891) and lived, until the age of 19, (in the fall of 1910, when he became a student at the Faculty of Modern Philology of the University of Bucharest) Dumitru S. Panaitescu, the one who would later add the pseudonym Perpessicius. D. Panaitescu Perpessicius will live in his parents' house between September 1, 1920 and the summer of 1921, during which he held the chair of Romanian and French at the Brăila Normal School. The returns of Perpessicius to Brăila are quite few, the last in 1945. His mother, Ecaterina Panaitescu, will continue to live in the parental home until she passes away.
