I went to the White Temple in Chiang Rai in the morning. In the afternoon, this is the Black Temple. In fact, it is more like a small complex with many sculptures and other artworks. The theme of these works covers dark elements such as death, hell and so on, and the tone of the works is mainly black, so it is called the Black Temple.

It took 36 years to design and build by the Thai ghost artist Thawan Duchanee, but it is not a temple, but a museum. The museum has collected a large number of exhibits on death, integrating ancient animal bones, primitive hunting tools, etc. into various artworks. The giant seats of buffalo horns, the devil reliefs on wooden boats, the wind bell device made of animal skins hanging in the middle of the air, etc., give people associations about hell.
