Doi Inthanon National Park

Doi Inthanon National Park is a national nature reserve in Thailand, covering an area of 1,005 square kilometers. Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand, is nothing compared to other mountains in the world, but it is an amazing height in Thailand. Surrounded by mountain peaks, there are many hiking trails, waterfalls and two memorial stupas. In addition to tourists who come to Chiang Mai for day trips, it is also very popular with locals in Chiang Mai. The park has beautiful scenery, lush trees, blooming flowers and a cool climate. It is a well-known national park in Thailand, with jungles and various types of plants, elephants and other wild animals. There are many wild animals in the park, and there are scenic elephant camps, orchid cultivation farms, etc., which are good places for outings. Doi Inthanon is rich in species resources, including more than 400 species of birds, and is a famous place for biologists and bird lovers. There are many waterfalls in the mountain, the most famous of which are NamTokMaeKlang, NamTokWachiratan and NamTokSiriphum. NamTokMaeKlang is the larger one and is relatively easy to get to, there are picnic spots nearby (200 baht cost) and there are more tourists. The two pagodas, PhraMahathatNaphamethanidon and Nophamethanidon, were built in 1989 and 1992 to commemorate the 60th birthday of the king and queen respectively. Under the octagonal pedestal there is a hall dedicated to stone Buddha statues.
