Great rest stop enroute back to Chitose from Subreto
Travelling from Subreto back to the airport, it's worth coming off the road for this destination for a break, there is a small cafe, toilets, a waterfall and some totempoles.
It feels good that a beautiful three-stage waterfall fits into one frame.

It was said that I went up the slope from the information board of Line 453. There is a totem pole and a woody toilet, and if you go down the slope in front of the cafe in the opposite direction to the totem pole, you will find Sankai Falls. Even if it is named several steps, there is a sense of distance that does not settle in one view, but this waterfall was as beautiful as it fits in one frame. I think the autumn leaves are beautiful because the fresh green was also shining. A little further from the bridge where you can see the waterfall ...
It is unclear how to get from the parking lot. The only map sign stands, but the direction is completely unknown. There is no guide sign other than that. No motivation at all. There is a sign "prohibition of private land entry" for those who say "this direction", and after all, I don't know how to go, and it is said that "there is no sign, so it seems that it is not a place to go hard" in about 10 minutes. Only use the toilet passing.
It is a park maintained around the Mikai Takigawa River, a tributary of the Nagaryu River (Osargawa), which originates from Mt. Shirao. The recommended spot in the park is the Mikai Waterfall, which literally falls three steps along the middle of the river. Although it is a small waterfall, the explosion sound when falling on the third stage can be heard fiercely from the middle of the walking path for about 7-8 minutes one way. The neighborhood is a geosite of Lake Toya Usuyama Geopark (UNESCO World Geopark) as a famous place for autumn leaves, fishing and bird watching. ...

The third floor waterfall is Qing 々!
It's just a three-stage waterfall (although it's a little small ...), but it's surrounded by trees 々, so you can take a negative ion!
