Sweetheart Abbey

A monastery of great old, built in the early 13th century. A lady built it in memory of her husband. After her death, the person who took over the monastery named it in memory of them. Like many other medieval buildings, there are only cemeteries and ruins left.

The monastery is a very closed environment, many of the nuns here are orphans, have been living here after adoption, the whole condition is very simple.

The building is very characteristic of the place full of religious beliefs. As soon as I entered, I was shocked by its decoration, as gorgeous and solemn as in the temple of God.
