It is located on the Abukuma River side behind the main government building of the Fukushima Prefectural Government Office. Even after visiting Itakura Shrine, you can go from the direction of the shrine. He was a free and people's rights activist who served as chairman of the prefectural assembly and served as chairman of the first House of Representatives, and was opposed to the prefectural Ordinance in the Meiji era and was arrested. The statue is stretching its hand toward the prefectural assembly hall. Therefore, it is a prominent statue. Perhaps he is a celebrity in Fukushima.
