Fuyuan Port is a type of port that was approved by the State Council in May 1992. It was officially opened in February 1993. It was recognized as an international passenger and cargo river port by the Chinese and Russian governments in January 1994. The port is located in Fuyuan City, northeast of Heilongjiang Province, and is the easternmost port in China.
