Picturesque, historic site. Church only open in July to see the interior which has pieces saved from the original stave church. The "new" Gaupne church was dedicated in 1907.

We went to Gaupne when we returned from the Nigardsbreen Glacier, a beautiful small wooden church standing with its cemetery around, really typical.
