It is situated next to the Orthodox Church and well worth stopping a moment to admire it.

This building is right off the side entrance of the Orthodox church. I thought this was a very pretty western style structure. Then I heard children laughing and playing and found out that it is actua...
This is the first kindergarten in Hokkaido near the Harris Orthodox Church. Since it is an active kindergarten, of course outsiders cannot enter, and only the exterior can be visited. The pink boarded outer wall was cute and I thought it was a perfect color for kindergarten.
I was ridiculed to enter the kindergarten without permission, so I visited the building from the surrounding area. In front of the gate, an explanation board by the school corporation Iai Gakuin stood, so that the origin could be well understood. The building built in 1918 seemed to be well maintained and left behind.
Kindergarten like a fashionable Western-style building

I was walking around the Motomachi district. There was a sign and explanation board for the Iai Kindergarten at the entrance, which was founded in 1895 but burned down and was a stink-style building built by American Harris in 1913. It is a pink white building next to the Harris Orthodox Church, and although it looks like a stylish Western-style building, I could hear the cheerful voices of the children from inside and found that it was a kindergarten.
