It is a shrine on the way from Hiroshima to Itsukushima Shrine. It is one of the three shrines in Aki Province along with Itsukushima Shrine and Take Shrine, but it is a historical shrine with the highest shrine ranking since ancient times, and is the total guardian shrine in Aki Province.
