went to silver lake with friends. the lake is a clear water lake, which I love. but there were signs posted about a bacterial algae that was in water, or might be in water. we were a bit concerned...

Fall colors are lovely

Great place to walk and take in the lovely fall colors. Many hiking trails to choose from ( all levels).

Not as nice as when I was a kid.

They shut down the beach for bacteria so check before you make a visit in the summer! It can get busy. If you're local, it's a decent place. I wouldn't drive any amount of time out of my way to come h...
