Canada Self-Drive Travel | Banff National Park Day 1, come copy the travel guide
This first stop of my Canadian trip is the long-awaited Banff National Park🌳
Departing from Calgary, Alberta, driving along Highway 1 towards the mountains, the Rocky Mountains covered in pure white snow, the clear turquoise glacial lakes, every frame of the scenery is stunning✨
Moreover, some mountain tops have snow that never melts all year round🏔️, with over 300 days of clear weather🌞, beauty in all four seasons. Having experienced summer, I'm already looking forward to coming back in autumn hhhh🍁
【Day 1】
Calgary→Sulphur Mountain Banff Gondola→Bow Falls→Johnston Canyon
📍Sulphur Mountain Banff Gondola
Taking the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain at 2450 meters🚡, I couldn't help but exclaim wow‼️ The surrounding Rocky Mountains covered in pure white snow, looking down at the forests and lakes from the rooftop platform, and walking back along the wooden walkway, it's super impressive‼️
📍Bow Falls
Bow Falls is about 10 meters high and was the filming location for the Marilyn Monroe-starring movie 'River of No Return'🎬, the river water➕snow mountains➕orange rafts make for especially good photos📸
📍Surprise Corner
This spot🉑 offers a distant view of the Banff Springs Hotel & Bow River scenery built against the mountain, suitable for a quick visit on the way.
📍Johnston Canyon
One of the four major canyons in the Canadian Rockies, formed by thousands of years of river erosion, with rapid streams and lush vegetation, moss everywhere😉 A light hike is particularly comfortable〰️🚶🏻♀️Lower Falls even has an interesting 'water curtain cave'💦
💡Tips
✔️There's a big temperature difference between morning and evening, and the weather is changeable, it's not an exaggeration to say there are four seasons in a day, be prepared with both T-shirts and down jackets
✔️The high altitude means strong UV rays, be sure to protect yourself from the sun
✔️Wear comfortable shoes and pay attention to safety when hiking and mountain climbing
absolutely stunning. the entire place seems surreal and looks painted. it is calming and awe-inspiring. get to the park early in order to get a parking space and see the water change colours as the sun reflects of it. i would also recommend coming early in order to have the space not be overcrowded, as it gets busy pretty fast and you are unable to enjoy the serenity or take pictures without thousands of people in it.
i’ve visited at Benff with my cousins in winter. When I was there, I felt cold a peaceful because of the significant view. The lake is super huge.if I have time, i’ll visit it again.
Very recommended Canadian travel destination, Shanmeishuimei Hotel is also good. Fly to Calgary, drive by car, stay recommended Fairmont Hotel, castle hotel, room with view, very beautiful.
Banff National Park (Banff National Park) is Canada's first national park, built in 1885, located in the northern section of the Rocky Mountains, Alberta, Canada, is an all-day open, the main attractions are Lake Lois, Menglian Lake national park. The park has modern hotels, motels and campgrounds in the woods. The mountains also have a suspended cableway that leads from the bottom of the mountain to the top. The peak has a pavilion and observation deck, and visitors can view the surrounding scenery from the railing. Banff National Park was included in the World Heritage List in 1984 as part of the Rocky Mountain National Park Group.
Seven years ago in the summer, we flew from Toronto to Calgary, SUV into the south gate of Banff Park, stayed in the most advanced hotel inside, outside the window is Lake Louis, take the forest trail, close to the glacier, go out to another national park, and then fly from Edmonton to Vancouver.
