At the foot of Fort Kanda
Original Text
It is a temple located a little in the mountain direction from Uenobe Station in the northern part of Iwata City. This time, I went to investigate the history of Iwata with my friends. Below is a quiet temple I have visited before. There was a memorial tower and a memorial tower of Munenobu Matsui who died in the Battle of Okehazama. There was also an explanation board in the precincts. It was a beautiful temple with hydrangea flowers still left.
I didn't know that this temple was the family temple of Nobukaoru Matsui, the owner of Futamata Castle, who was killed in the battle of Okehazama, until I went to the site. It's an important temple in history! I'm surprised! It looks like a normal temple. However, when you hear such a story, the venerable temple and main hall are also magnificent. Toji was also beautiful!
There is a guide near the entrance to this temple called the family temple of Mr. Matsui, the owner of Futamata Castle. You have to go by car or on foot, but the parking lot is free. The building itself is relatively new, but it is a temple related to Mr. Matsui, the owner of Futamata Castle, who fought against Imagawa, Takeda, and Tokugawa, so I think it is a place to think about in nature.
