A very well maintained stretch of the "Death Railway" about an hour outside Kanchanaburi. There is an excellent museum operated by the Australian government detailing the history of the place. Lots of bugs, so bring insect repellent. Plus it can get very very hot and humid, so make sure you have enough water.

I went to see it with my eyes during World War II, it was beautiful. I really would have a cold of history.
It is another very beautiful place. The distance that you have to walk may be a bit far. Originally, watching the surrounding things, is fun.
