I heard that [Hakusan Shrine] in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo was called "Hakusan Gongensha" during the Edo period, and I visited because it is the same as its old name.

I heard that [Hakusan Shrine] in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo was called "Hakusan Gongensha" during the Edo period, and I visited because of the interest that this remains as the old name "Hakusan Gongen". In the name [Hakusan Shrine], I visited [Heisenji Hakusan Shrine (Fukui Prefecture)] before, but I was surprised that it had a large precinct as ビックリ, and the name "Hakusan" was spread all over the country. Actually I feel it. Also, the town called Kawagoe is located in the precincts of [Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine] ...
It's a small shrine in front of the mountain gate of Kitain.

Right in front of the gate of Kitain, there was this shrine, Hakusan Gongen. The back side of the stone torii gate was a small well-maintained garden, and there was only a small shrine in it. It is a shrine with only such a small shrine, but it has a very old history and is said to have been built in 830 in the Heian period, the same as Kitain.
It is a small shrine located in front of the Kitain Sanmon. Next to it is the statue of Tenkai Daimon. Like Kitain, the history is very sieve because it was Soken in the 7th year of Tencho (830) in the Heian period. It seems that it is said that when Kitain was founded, Jikaku Daishi Ennin enshrined Hakusan Shrine. I felt cute with a torii gate and approach to a small shrine.
There were no worshipers to stop by and it was quiet.

When I visited Kitain, I also stopped by this small shrine near the mountain gate. It seems that it has a history of more than 1000 years, but it was quiet because there were no worshipers to stop by. I think that I am not so interested except for those who like history and architecture.
It is a small shrine that sits in front of the mountain gate of Kitain. It is said that Jikaku Daishi, who founded Kitain in the Heian period, was built at the same time as Kitain, and it is a god who has protected Kitain and pilgrims for more than 1100 years. There is almost nothing else in the small precincts except planting, but the statue of Tenkai Daimonjo of Kitain Chuko stands.

Same as Kita in Temple.
