A little over 5 minutes walk from Kawasaki Daishi Station. There is an entrance to the precincts facing the Omotesando of Kawasaki Daishi. A temple of the Tendai sect founded during the civilization year (1469 ~ 1487). The principal image is the eleven-faced Kannon statue. The 24th temple of the Tokai 34 Kannon pilgrimage. The vermilion gate is not big, but it is eye-catching. The current main hall is a wooden tiled roof rebuilt in 1765, and has a flower head window in front. The appearance of the entire building is blocked by a tree 々 and is not well understood. Why don't you visit with Kawasaki Daishi?
The 11th Shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate, Iesai, planned to visit Kawasaki Daishi the year before the 42-year-old year of trouble. However, Kawasaki Daishi's chief priest Takaen died on the day of the Shogun's visit. The hurried Kawasaki Daishi moved the body to the neighboring Meichoji Temple and welcomed the general's worship as scheduled. This became a reputation and Kawasaki Daishi's reputation rose as 」 when the chief priest took over the trouble of the general. Myochoji played such a role.
If you leave Kawasaki Daishi Station on the Keihin Express and follow Omotesando, you will find Meichoji Temple. You can see the main hall when you pass through the magnificent mountain gate, but I felt like a garden in front of the main hall that remains natural. The main hall has a small and calm appearance. Is it rare for an urban temple? I worshiped with that feeling.
When I walked along Omotesando from Kawasaki Daishi Station toward Kawasaki Daishi, I found this temple on my left. If you dive through the bright vermilion-painted gate, you will find the main hall in front of you. The main hall is a structure that makes you think it used to be a thatched roof. It was a quaint temple with many flowers.
It is a temple of the Tendai sect on the way from Kawasaki Daishi Station to the mountain gate. It also owns cultural properties. The courtyard of the waiting room for the Dan family is a magnificent courtyard with a pond.
