A hidden gem in the Lake County Forest Preserve District
My home backs up to Lyons Woods Forest Preserve and it has 345 acres with trails about four miles of trails throughout. The Forest Preserve is open daily 365 days per year from 6:30 a.m. to sunset....

Beautiful trails
Perfect for birding, watching butterflies (season permitting), walking, biking. I almost missed this area because it wasn't high on Trip Advisor's list, but I'm very glad I found this gem.
