Gansu Geological Museum was founded in 1943, its predecessor is the geological exhibition room, by the old generation of geologist Mr. Wang Rilun, is one of the earliest geological museums in China. Gansu Geological Museum is located in the city of Lanzhou City, No. 6, Tuanjie Road, Tanjianzi, unique architectural style, unique local and time characteristics. The museum has an orderly hall, the Earth Hall, the Mineral Rock Hall, the Baoyushi Hall, the Life Evolution Hall, the Land Resources Hall, the Geological Environment Hall, the Mineral Resources Hall, 4D the screen theater and the temporary exhibition hall. The museum contains more than 30,000 geological, mineral, paleontological, mineral and rock specimens from both inside and outside the province. There are a large number of national treasure-grade products such as the Great Summer Dragon, Lanzhou Dragon and Gansu Bird. The exhibition hall recirculates 20 films, videos and illusions, such as "Gansu General", "Gansu Geological Park", "Gansu Land Resources", "Gansu Gansu", and "Anecdotes of Gem", Seismic Experience and other interactive projects in teaching and recreation.
The Gansu Geological Museum is located at No. 6 Tuanjie Road, Chengguan District, Lanzhou City. It is a relatively tall modern building with a display of Gansu geological and landform items and graphic illustrations, which are very helpful for understanding Gansu's land and resources.
Free tour, open every Tuesday to Sunday 9:00—16:30. The hall is equipped with order hall, Earth Hall, Mineral Rock Hall, Baoyushi Hall, Life Evolution Hall, Land Resources Hall, Geological Environment Hall, Mineral Resources Hall, etc.
