Shuidonggou Village

The site of Shuidonggou is one of the earliest Paleolithic sites excavated in China, known as the "homeland of prehistoric archaeology in China", and it is believed that human ancestors lived here about 30,000 years ago. There are 29 cave-style architectural sites in Shuidonggou Village, which seems to enter the life scene of the prehistoric ancestors, so that we can directly understand the living form of the ancestors.

In 1919, two foreigners living in Zhangsan Xiaodian in Shuidonggou Village opened archaeological excavations around the area and found a prehistoric civilization 40,000 years ago. Shuidonggou Village became the "birthplace of prehistoric archaeology in China". When developing the scenic area, according to the memories of Zhang's three wives and brothers, the unexisting Zhang Sanxiao Shop was rebuilt to commemorate.
