Spain and Portugal trip, experience the blend of passion and history. Don't miss this guide, let's embark on a wonderful adventure together!
Stay near Mayor Gardens, after seeing a few gardens and museums, walk from this pleasant and exquisite area to several attractions on the side of Dejima Square, and visit the whole city market in the old town of Marrakech. There are various crowds, streets, and a stroll of smoke. The market in the sunset square has become a group of food stalls, experience it, eat barbecue, Moroccan breakfast is colorful, you can taste it.
The Plaza Mayor adds a bit of laziness to the bustling Puerta del Sol. When I walk into this square "complex" from Madrid's old neighborhood, I immediately feel a unique atmosphere! The square has 9 arches connecting the outer streets.
The square of Mayor, built in 1619; more than 300 years after it was built, three fires were damaged and three rebuilt; it has been preserved since the third reconstruction in 1953. The rectangular square, 129 meters long and 94 meters wide, stands in the center of the statue of Phillip III riding in the square, which was ordered to be built; Surrounded by 4-storey buildings, 237 balconies facing the square; the square's nine arched anus leads to the main street in the city center. The most ornamental building in the square - the Bakery House, the exterior walls are covered with exquisite murals, and the City Hall and Visitor Service Center are set with this. Around the square + the building of the arcade, the shops and restaurants are in scale, the citizens and tourists are shopping and eating, leisurely; the opening of the postage market, people come and go, bargaining, happy. Everywhere in the square, the street artists of all kinds work hard to showcase their talents and become a beautiful scenery.
Madrid's Plaza Mayor is located in the city center, adjacent to Puerta del Sol, built in the 17th century, the most glorious period of the Habsburg dynasty, and has been praised by the world. In the center of the square is the horse riding statue of Philip III. Under his watch, the people held fairs, religious activities and festivals here for more than 100 years. Street artists can also be seen everywhere, adding a few artistic styles, attracting tourists from all over the world. We did not hold events during the tourist season, but the flow of people in the square proved this. The grand buildings around the square circled the square, and the entrance and exit were all opened by the doors of the buildings on all sides. Of course, there are no shops in the building.
On the first morning in Madrid, I arrived at Plaza Mayor. Come here and have breakfast. There will be some clowns, entertainers in the square. Please be cautious with them. If you want to take a photo or take a photo with them, you need to prepare a tip. Breakfast at Corner Cafe is in Plaza Mayor. Small coffee shop, full of locals. Just a clerk, ordering, preparing meals, cashiers are all him. Ordered coffee, local Spanish snacks Churros (CHURROS), can be praised, the price is very cheap. It tastes good, autumn silk is a bit like Chinese fried dough sticks. Americano here is a small cup, black coffee is more mini, if you want to drink coffee, go to Starbucks, the cup is bigger ~ otherwise I can drink 5 cups in the local coffee shop...haha!
Although the square is not big, the scenery is good and it is worth a visit.
