To Chiran Castle. I think it's hard to find the location. It is a little far from the samurai residence of Chiran, and there is only one information board at the corner to Chiran Castle. Even if you go there, if there is no sign called "Karabori" in the forest, it will only look like a mountain road. I would be happy if I could take care of it a little more and the scenery was good.
It is a visit by car. Parking and admission fee are free. As it is a castle on the Shirasu plateau, it is a characteristic castle ruin without stone walls. You can visit it relatively easily. Stamps can be pressed at the Museum Chiran. Therefore, if you look at the diorama first, the whole is easy to understand. The adjacent Chiran Special Attack Peace Hall is also a place to visit at the same time.
There is a free parking lot at the entrance of the Chiran Castle Ruins, but be careful as there are no guide signs on the surrounding roads and there are no buildings, so you cannot search with car navigation systems. The walking path from the parking lot is well maintained, so you can visit the castle ruins relatively easily. Chiran Castle consisted of four Kuruwa (Honmaru, Imajo, Kura no Castle, Yumiba Castle), and used the natural valley as a hollow moat. All the buildings have been burned down and have not been left, but you can feel the ruins of a castle.

It is the ruins of a mountain castle published in the 100 famous castle stamp rally in Japan one after another. Master Shota Shunfutei, who is famous for castle enthusiasts, also visited here. It's a lonely road to go alone, but you can reach the top in light clothes. By the way, the stamp rally stamp! Be careful as you will press it with the museum view!
The approach by the fixed-route bus was about a 20-minute walk from each bus stop at "Chiran" or "Tea Industry Experiment Station". It was in a deep forest.
