Mixed Experience on Club Level
Another review of the Armory but with a different experience as I had purchased tickets to the Club Level. There are club levels on each side of The Armory running the length of the arena. The Club level is mostly GA standing unless you have reserved one of the very expensive lounges available. I arrived early shortly after doors and was able to secure a spot along the railing close to the front. On a positive note, the Club Level is way less crowded and more relaxed than the floor and it was easy to get to the nearby bar or bathroom and have someone save your spot. Even if you arrive late, you would be standing no more than three deep for a view of the show. You also have access to the rooftop patio if you need a smoke or some fresh air. However, as the Club Level is so elevated, you are far from the stage and feel somewhat removed from the energy you get from being down on the floor. The view of the stage can also be obscured. Even though I was one of the first to arrive, you will still have people standing in front of you in the reserved lounge area. Overall it was a good experience but not sure I would do this again vs the floor.

One of the Better Large Music Venues in the Twin Cities
Really good music venue in downtown Minneapolis. Not as good as First Avenue but certainly better than watching a show at the Xcel or Target Center. Best comparison in town is The Palace in Saint Paul which I think is more enjoyable. The GA in the Palace is almost as wide as it is deep. The Armory is long and narrow. You can be far from the stage if you are in the back of the room. If you are GA, get there early when doors open if you want to be near the stage.
