Park service is to lazy to bother putting up flags this year. Go there 4-5 times a week as I don't live far from there. Couldn't even bother to put flags up over the July 4th weekend!
Probably best as a picnic area. Good facilites and historic documentation. You will need a 'park pass' (a greaat bargain in Michigan) ... Free after tourist season (a boon to locals).
"Museum" is a misnomer since it's just a covered pavilion with a few displays about Father Marquette's journeys. It's still nice though. Take time to walk the trails, read the signs, and get a nice ...
First went to Bridge View Park for a guaranteed view of the Mackinac Bridge then went to the Marquette Memorial since it was in the direction to get back to the freeway to cross the bridge. Lots of pa...

Meh memorial, nice view
Memorial is underwhelming. The view of the bridge is great but the view from Straits State Park on the other side of I-75 is at least as good.
