A blast furnace that makes you feel history
Visit Muroran Steel Works. Receive an explanation of the factory tour. The foundations of the factory are Muroran Port, which is a natural good port, Yubari coal, iron sand in the eruption bay area, and iron ore mining in Koda (present-day Toyako Town). In order to meet the demand for steel in the Russo Japanese War, it seems that the first blast furnace in Wanishi Village was originally made by refining iron sand (Tatara Steel).
