Namucuo

Namtuo is located in the middle of the Tibet Autonomous Region. It is the second largest lake in Tibet and the third largest lagoon in China. The lake is 4718 meters above sea level, and the shape is similar to rectangular, with a length of more than 70 kilometers from east to west, more than 30 kilometers from north to south, and an area of more than 1920 square kilometers. Early scientific surveys believed that the maximum depth of Namtuo was 33 meters, but the last two years of re-measurement of the lake found that the deepest depth of Namtuo exceeded 120 meters. The water storage capacity of 76.8 billion cubic meters is the highest in the world. "Namco" is Tibetan, Mongolian name is "Tengri Sea", are all "Tianhu" meaning. Namco is one of the "three holy lakes" in Tibet. Namco is the first god lake of ancient elephants and Buddha Fa - Zhongbenism, one of the famous Buddhist holy places.
