Powerful but monotonous
Original Text
When you move between Tsuruoka - and Yamagata by Yamagata Expressway, you can see it from Tsuruyama Lake PA, but if you have time, you can get off at the interchange in front of you and look at it from the observation square along National Highway 112 I think so. However, although it is powerful, it is too monotonous and I think it is enough to see it once.
There's a fountain show when it comes time, and this is not to be missed.

It is a rockfill dam with a height of 112 meters in the Sagae River. The dam itself can be seen from below, but the best spot here is the fountain of Lake Gessan made by the dam. In the world, the fountain of the height of 4 is the height of the dam, and the height is blown up to 112m. It can go straight up or it can be like a flower. This fountain show is held every hour, so it is recommended to wait and see if you have some time. There is no other fun ...
When you go to the hot springs in Gassan, you can see it beautifully from the highway. In midwinter, I plan to snow a few meters around here (the highway is snowed out), and it is very beautiful.
It is a large fountain of 112m height of Lake Tsukiyama made by Sagae Dam on the south side of Tsukiyama. It is said that the height is the highest in Japan. The Sagae Dam Observation Square, where you can see the best fountain, is located on the Yamagata Expressway, getting off the 50km Gassan IC, which was weak from Yamagata City, and returning to the Yamagata side on the national highway a little. It is launched every hour during the day. I just passed by, but it was over when I arrived at the observation plaza because it was a sight from inside the car and I couldn't take a picture.
The fountain rises every hour. Soft serve ice cream is sold nearby and has a lot of flavors such as grapes and zunda, so I think it's a good idea to enjoy it slowly while eating soft serve ice cream.
