Nice hike with rewarding view and waterfall on the way up
The signs are in Japanese, but you have to drive past the brewery, the shrine and the youth nature house and then take the small road to the left. It is not well maintained bit keep going until you ...
I went with three family members. My son is in the second grade of elementary school. There is a trailhead from the shrine and an upper trailhead that can be reached by car a little higher. It was past noon, so I stopped that day from the upper trailhead to the bridge where you can see the waterfall. I can go there soon, so I would like to explore little by little. It is about 15 minutes by adult downhill from the upper trailhead to the lower trailhead.
About 45 minutes by car from the city center. There is a parking lot at the trailhead. The mountain trail is well maintained to the top and it is very easy to climb. If you are used to it, you can climb in about 90 minutes. Along the way, there is also Gyoko Falls, which has been selected as one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan. The mountain trail is particularly dangerous ...

Mukabakiyama
It feels difficult, but I read it as Mukabakiyama. Located west of Nobeoka, it was very natural and had a calm atmosphere.
