Yazhou Ancient City

Yacheng Xuegong, located in Yazhou Paifang Street, Sanya City, is the southernmost Confucian Temple in China, which can be called the "First Temple of the World." 崖州古城 位于三亚市西约40公里。三亚古称“崖州” ，历史悠久，人文璀璨，早在秦始皇时期设置南方三郡，崖州是其中之一的象郡的“外檄”（边界）。崖州古城始于北宋，元明清州郡县均设于此，曾是中国最南端的州府所在地。古城现存文明门、北门小段城墙及崖城学宫、迎旺塔、盛德堂等古建筑。后经元、明、清三代扩建，使之成为海南岛规模较大的一座坚固的城池。
