Waterside picnic/playground area
Well kept lawn area right on the water. BBQ grills, playground, restrooms open mostly. Great place to picnic before or after kayaking with I Paddle NY, which launches from this site.
Polluted
I used to love the beach here...now it's filled with pollution. When I go into the water, I have red itchy bumps on my feet and legs. The beach had to be shut down many times for pollution. The town...
Lovely area in Saugerties
Relaxing beautiful spot to bring the family. We are going back in two weeks. We spend a great deal of time in the Saugerties Hunter mountain area. Excellent places to eat and so much to do.
Easy access.
Not a great beach but provides great access for kayaking to Esopus creek. Big parking lot and a swimming area with a sandy bottom. Water quality depends upon upstream releases at reservoirs.
