Baoqing Temple

Baoqing Temple, originally known as "Qianfo Pavilion", is the only Buddhist monastery in Qingpu City, located at No. 100 Nanmen Street, Qingpu historical area, originally built in Ming, because of the statue of Guanyu, commonly known as "Guandi Temple". The layout of the monastery is rigorous, inheriting the style of the Ming Dynasty, the structure is exquisite, the temple Chonghong, the four corner moths, the quaint and elegant.

Baoqing Temple is located at No. 100 Nanmen Street, the historical style district of Qingpu District. It is the only Buddhist monastery in the central city of Qingpu. It was originally built in Ming Dynasty. The first name of the Wanli period (A.D. 1573-1620) was "Qing, Shunzhi nine years (A.D. 1652) were listed in the group, and Xianfeng years (A.D. 1851-1861) collapsed. The original site was rebuilt in Tongzhi seven years (1868). It includes buildings such as Shanmen, Grand Hall and Nianfotang, which have been repaired repeatedly since. In February 2004, the site was announced as an immovable cultural relics by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. In view of the absence of Buddhist monasteries in and around Qingpu City, according to the needs of the faithful, the district Buddhist association, with the support of the city and district government departments, has raised funds from early 2009, such as the old renovation of the mountain gate, the main hall, the partial hall, etc. Because the monastery faces Baoqing Street, it is named Baoqing Temple, and was officially approved as a Buddhist site in July 2010 and opened to the public.
