    You shold speak French to visit

    French isn't my forte, but the camp is very interesting. Some areas were restored for movies. This is in much better condition than St Joseph's Island (near Devil's Island), but not as picturesque.

    worth a visit if you are in the area

    this place is worth a visit if you are in the area. some of the buildings remind me a little about Auschwitz-Birkenau the Transportation Camp is located about 3h from Cayenne or 2h from Paramaribo....
