You need a worship fee (300 yen) to enter the temple, but there are various highlights to the main hall, but after all the inside of the main hall was the best! It is a temple of the Shingon sect Koyasan school located near the top of Mt. Niugawa-cho, Takayama City. Although it is rebuilt, you can go up the stairs from the magnificent Niomon gate to the front of the main hall. The admission fee is 300 yen and you can worship in the main hall. Gobonsugi, which is located on the way to the shrine, is a nationally designated natural monument.

I visited because I was interested in knowing about Enku Buddha in the manga "Gallery Fake". I saw the unique atmosphere and the powerful work. This is also an ultra marathon course and is famous as the biggest difficulty. The steep slope that afflicts runners is another highlight. I'm horrified when I think I'll run here and climb.
