Unfortunately, we couldn't do the whole circuit because of the strong wind. But a hike to the top of the hill is certainly a to-do if you're staying in or near Tekapo. An easy track that can be manage...

A short but exciting walk close to Lake Tekapo. The ascent was relatively steep but short-lived and the view was most definitely worth it!

Elevation changes and views
I walked-hiked it clockwise because I like to get the steep parts done first. Proper footwear. Trees, grasslands and then along-above the lake. Not for families with small kids or those outa shape.
