Smithsonian Castle

The Smithsonian Castle is one of the many Smithsonian buildings located on the Mall. It is fun to view with its unique architecture and the beautiful garden that surround the Castle.

The Smithsonian Institution is the most important research institution and academic institution in the United States and the world, and the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, and the space between the East and Congress are basically museums, especially like the natural history and space museums.

The Smithsonian Institution's headquarters building is the only third-sector museum institution funded by the US government and semi-official. Donations bequeathed by British scientist James Smithson (James Smithson), founded in Washington, DC, in 1846 under a US Congressional decree. The Society has 14 museums and l National Zoo. The Smithsonian Institution headquarters office building is located on the south side of the National Mall in Washington, DC, near the National Museum of African Art and the Sekler Gallery. The building is a Romanesque architecture with a deep red sandstone exterior and is known to people familiar with it as the castle. In 1965, the building was listed as a National Historic Site . The Smithsonian Institution is a great museum complex. The building, called the castle, is the starting point and is currently used as an information booth, visitor center, toilet and small display. It is a good starting point to get a preliminary view of the 14 museums and plan a visit.

The most worthwhile attraction in Washington is the nine Smithney museums on both sides of the National Mall, which are more complete and free than the Smithney Museum in other US cities. The remains of James Smithsonian are laid at the north entrance of the Society Building to commemorate the remarkable contribution of the foreigner.

If you are a museum controller, the Smith National Museum Group is enough to let you visit the National Museum for two or three days, the Space Museum, the Press Museum, etc. are here, and there are Chinese language guides here, which is very convenient.
