It tends to be confused with Suwa Shrine in Chizu Town, which is known for its festivals using cedar pillars, but this is Suwa Shrine in the neighboring town. As you can see from the name of the shrine, it is said that it was solicited from Suwa Shrine in Nagano Prefecture. However, it was destroyed by fire and the current building was rebuilt at the end of the Edo period. It is quietly built in the countryside and is not visited by many tourists. By the way, the flower area where the shrine is located is the production area of Hanagosho persimmon, which is famous for its specialty in Yazu Town.
