Cishi Tower

Cishi Tower is located on the bank of Dongting Lake, a 15-minute walk from Yueyanglou Scenic Area. It is quaint and simple. It was built in the Kaibao years of the Northern Song Dynasty. It has been repaired in successive dynasties. It has a seven-story pavilion-style brick tower. Sitting next to the tower, the breeze is breezy, thinking about ancient times.

The whole pagoda is divided into towers, towers, and three parts of the tower body, basically in line with the elements of a pagoda, there is no extra place, there is no temple built nearby, it is a lonely tower.

Now there are old houses around here, so the road to walk is not particularly good. The surrounding area is also frequently renovated. It is also a more comprehensive and chaotic feeling here, but the pagoda is still very well protected.

The tower is located in the southwest of Dongting Lake. The tower is a masonry structure, pavilion style, seven floors at octagonal, and 39 meters high. The pagoda stands tall and looks at Dongting Lake, which is one of the "Baling Sheng". This magnificent building reflects the artistic style of the Tang and Song Dynasty. Unfortunately, the tower is solid, and cannot be seen in the cave.

Cishita is one of the few buildings in the Northern Song Dynasty on Yueyang's side. It has a history of more than 1,000 years. During this period, although it has been renovated many times, the main part still retains the original foundation. It can be said that it is a very ancient cultural relics here.
