Imperial Vault of Heaven

Outside the main hall is the famous echo wall, three-toned stone and dialogue stone. The imperial palace has a sound-transmission effect, commonly known as the echo wall. The sound effects of the imperial palace encirclement in history are quite confusing, and people have not been able to explain this phenomenon scientifically for a long time. In 1953, Professor Tang Dingyuan tested the acoustic effect of Huang Xuyu architecture, and believed that Huang Xuyu was surrounded by dense, clean surface, so that the sound waves were not absorbed by the wall, and then reflected, so that echoes were generated, forming a unique acoustic phenomenon. This is the first scientific explanation of the echo phenomenon of the buildings in the Temple of Heaven. Sanyinshi is located on the ramp in front of the imperial palace. Standing at Sanyinshi, you can hear three echoes, which is called the whispering of the world. The meaning of the words and deeds of the world are seen by the angels.
