Gushan Temple is located in the east of Chaohu City, Anhui Province, on the north side of the He-Chao-Wu Highway, and above the Gushan Mountain, the hometown of Yafu Fan Zeng. Climbing to the top of the seven-level pagoda, the ancient and prosperous Chaohu urban area is close to your feet; Chaohu Lake, which is 800 miles away, has a panoramic view, the mountain breeze is gentle, and the white clouds are like a holy place. History of Gushan Temple: Gushan Temple, formerly known as Fuying Temple, was built in the Ming Dynasty, and the original temple was destroyed by war in the early days of liberation. In 1986, under the inspiration of the late old lay Buddhist Liu Guocai, Gushan worked hard for many years, greening the barren mountains, and raising funds to restore the Gushan Temple. Because of the shortage of funds at that time, the old layman passed away, so the construction of Gushan Temple was not perfect. In July 1999, at the invitation of the Chaohu Buddhist Association and with the approval of the religious department of the municipal government, Master Zhiwen, the former secretary of the Anhui Buddhist Association Office, was appointed abbot of Gushan Temple by the provincial Buddhist Association. When Master Zhiwen took over, there were only Daxiong Hall (painting and painting not yet perfect) and Tianwang Hall. In just four years, the Guanyin Hall, the Guest Hall, the Dizang Hall, the Garan Hall, the Jade Buddha Hall, the Tibetan Scripture Building, the Abbot's Building, the Dharma Hall, the Buddha Chanting Hall, and the Lecture Hall have been built successively, and the Tianwang Hall has been demolished and rebuilt. In the Zhaitang, dozens of dormitories were added, the Daxiong Hall was repainted, and the stone steps in front of the Tianwang Hall were laid. We welcomed all the Buddha statues in the hall and purchased a lot of furniture and daily necessities. Building scale of Gushan Temple: Since the abbot of Master Zhiwen, he has perfected the construction scale of Gushan Temple. The planning and construction of the temple are reasonable. It has both a majestic and solemn appearance, as well as small and delicate embellishments and layouts. The internal management is in good order, and the financial system and various management systems are sound. The management agency adopts the traditional jungle management mode and democratic centralism management. Deacons at all levels have a clear division of labor, and each performs its own duties and responsibilities. The monks practiced diligently like the Dharma. They went out of the slope in the morning, entered the hall in the afternoon and evening to recite the Buddha, and did their homework in the morning and evening. At present, there are more than 20 resident monks in the temple, more than 20 resident residents, and more than 50 staff members. It has become a jungle monastery and a model monastery with a certain scale both inside and outside the province.
