Altiplano, South America 🇧🇴🇵🇪🏔️ The Altiplano is one of the most extraordinary high-altitude landscapes on Earth—a vast plateau stretching across the Andes of Bolivia, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. Much of the region lies more than 3,500 meters above sea level, creating a landscape that feels almost otherworldly. Here, endless golden plains meet snow-covered volcanoes, turquoise lagoons, dramatic mountains, and ancient villages. The famous Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, the world’s largest salt flat, is one of the Altiplano’s most iconic sights.
