The selected region displays the St. George's Church (Георгіївська церква), located in the village of Plyasheva, Rivne Oblast, Ukraine. Built between 1910 and 1914, this historic architectural monument sits on the grounds of the National Historic Memorial Preserve "Battlefield of Berestechko", commonly known as the "Cossack Graves".

Key Architectural & Historical Details
Purpose: It serves as a unique memorial church and final resting place built over a mass grave to honor more than 10,000 Ukrainian Cossacks who perished during the famous 1651 Battle of Berestechko.

Three -Tier Design: The complex structure integrates three separate churches vertically:
Underground Crypt: Houses the Paraskeva Church and holds a glass sarcophagus with the remains of the fallen warriors.
Main Level: The central St. George the Victorious Church.
Upper Gallery: The Boris and Gleb Chapel, often referred to as the "balcony church".

Exterior Iconostasis: The massive white facade arch acts as a giant open-air altar painted with intricate fresco compositions by renowned artist Ivan Izhakevych. This ingenious design allowed tens of thousands of worshippers gathered in the open square to participate in memorial services simultaneously.
