YOSHI im Alsterhaus

Lunch menu is super with a bento box composed of different delicious dishes: shrimp tempura, teriyaki salmon, sushi, soup, salad and fruits. The location and the food very authentic!

We really enjoyed our time at Yoshi. The food was amazing as was the view from the outdoor dining. When we were leaving, we had multiple bags to gather and I left my purse on the back of my chair. Before I was even 30 meters from the restaurant I had already received a phone call and email notifying me that they found my bag and would hold it for me to come collect it. It was a crisis averted because of dedicated staff members!!

The food was delicious, and the servers were very friendly. We don't speak German and we were able to order in English.The ambience could be improved a bit. It was ok, but felt like a restaurant inside a department store (which, to be fair, that's what it is). Perhaps they could dim the lights a bit, or open up the windows so we could see the nice Hamburg view :)

Excellent environment and service. Food is also tasty but little bit overpriced! All in all, i will visit here again once I travel in Hamburg. It would be nice to sit outside in summer.

I've been for that restaurant relatively regularly for the past 2,5 years now, which I do primarily because of the quality of the food. Leaving the price out for a minute, I can honestly say that this is the best Sushi I have been able to find in Hamburg - and I have looked around and tried a lot of places.On the downside, the price is relatively elevated and the service could be a bit more attentive. The staff is friendly and I am not bothered, but if you are in a hurry you might find yourself bothered by their "speed of reaction" and "overview of the restaurant and guests".I will definitely continue going there for the quality of food and I am happy to accept the downsides, but I believe this is important to include in an objective feedback :-)
