Photos of Monasterio de la Cartuja

About two kilometers from downtown Granada, the Cartuja Monastery broke ground in the 16th century with the donation of Marshal Córdoba, and was not completed until the early 18th century. Inside the monastery's modest façades, the churiguera-style decorations can be found everywhere. The ornate and complex decoration of the monastery is also a major feature. Under the Spanish Baroque Churigra style, the atrium structure with beautiful cloisters is reminiscent of the imagination, white plaster carvings, curved golden stone pillars and vortexes in the chapel. Shaped and leaf-shaped wall decorations always give visitors a strange feeling of being in an exotic place.
