KRISTINA.

"Hanoi Opera House" It is one of the important architectural features of the French colonial period of Vietnam. The Ionian-style cylindrical and grey stone brick building materials were shipped from France to Vietnam. It can be seen that France wanted to rebuild Vietnam. After ten years of construction, it finally opened in 1911. It was not until 1945 that Viet Minh launched the August Revolution on the balcony of the Opera House, which was considered to be the pride of France's cultural and architectural art in the colonies.  After independence, the Hanoi Opera House became a civil theatre that promoted socialism. In recent years, the Vietnamese government has refurbished the opera house and wants to restore the past French style. The large crystal chandeliers, Parisian mirrors and bright marble steps left over from the past are a gorgeous part of the French style. It is a pity that the Hanoi Opera House is not open to the public.
