Yummy Bean Ice Cream!
We drove passed Honbetsu on our way from Lake Akan to Obihiro and decided to stop at this road side station (a small one) for a break. Honbetsu is known for it's various beans produce and many are on...
Roadside station down along National Highway 242. Heisei 18 The bridge and a part of the track at Honbetsu Station on the former Furusato Galactic Line, which was discontinued in the year, are left, and it is also recommended for shooting iron. Honbetsu Town is said to be the best bean town in Japan. It seems that many natto, miso, soy sauce, and sweets using these beans are also produced in the town. It is unclear whether bean miso and cookies are substantial. Why don't you visit the beans if you love beans?
The bridge over the old Furusato Galactic Line, which was discontinued, and a part of the railroad tracks remain as they were at that time, so you can immerse yourself in nostalgia. At the product corner, there were processed products such as locally produced vegetables, miso and soy sauce, as well as ceramic and handicrafts, so it had a cozy atmosphere. There are plenty of gourmet foods such as bakery and Chinese restaurant. It was cheap at 260 yen with curry bread and wiener roll.
You can stay in the car. There is a vacant lot on the information board where you can stay in the car, so stop according to your support. It's not that far from the roadside station.
I stopped by to collect information at Honbetsu Onsen Grand Hotel. In the past, I felt nostalgic that many people were getting on and off at the station of ~ Furusato Galactic Line.
