You may have seen TVB's "The Sky of Tai O", but have not been to Tai O. It is the relatively longest living place in Hong Kong. Although it is in the bustling city of westernization, it still retains the rich tradition of Chinese fishermen. The days of Tai O, like the old fishermen who live in it, always have a sense of vicissitudes. It is smaller and has fewer people than other outlying islands. As for the scenery, it is not very shocking, but there are blue waters, warm sun, different water shacks, shrimp paste and salted fish that are dried everywhere. This leisurely style of painting gives a feeling of infinite comfort and quietness. In my mind, it has a simple folk style and a leisurely life. When you see the tin houses, the slightly broken villages seem to cross back to the feeling of living in the old bungalows.
